District 6 of the Massachusetts State Program of American Legion Baseball Approves Senior Division (19U) Team for Sharon, Massachusetts
SHARON, MA – The Massachusetts State Program of American Legion Baseball, District 6, voted tonight, unanimously, for the approval of a Senior Division team for the town of Sharon. This milestone marks a significant step in the resurgence of competitive baseball in the community, as preparations continue for Sharon’s participation in the 2025 season.
The return of Senior Division baseball to Sharon comes at a historic time, as 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of American Legion Baseball, one of the nation’s most prestigious and enduring youth baseball programs. The Sharon team will compete alongside other elite programs across the district, representing the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community service that have defined American Legion Baseball for a century.
“We are thrilled to bring Senior Division baseball back to Sharon,” said David Tobey. “This program has a storied history of fostering growth, both on and off the field, and we are excited to see Sharon’s talented athletes continue that legacy in this milestone year.”
The Sharon Senior Division team will provide high school-aged players an opportunity to compete at the highest levels while showcasing their skills on a regional and potentially national stage. Managers and coaches are currently finalizing details, including try-outs/evaluations, sponsorships, and game schedules, with updates to be shared in the coming weeks.
